Automatic archiving is now available in version 7.0 of AlphaRENTAL. This feature will automatically check for transactions that should be moved to the archive files, thereby keeping transaction files with only the necessary records in them. The advantage here is the speed gained by not having to sift through older transactions when performing daily processing, while still having access to any archived transactions when you need them. In AlphaRENTAL, there is a new "Export/Excel Import" routine in version 7.0 that will allow you to either export a complete data file to an ASCII file, or import a data file directly into Excel. You must be running on a STEP session, and have Excel loaded on the PC. To access this function, it's location is S-2-W from the main menu. The ability to create an html document form for emailing is available in AlphaRENTAL 7.0. This will allow you to email contracts, reservations, quotes, closed contracts, pickup tickets, invoices, and work orders. With this, the ability to link out to an email application can be performed, and if using Outlook, the contract form can be automatically attached to your email! Contact Genisys for more details. |
