How do I see the system in action?


I have a rental store and am in the market for a new system that is integrated with all the departments such as bookkeeping, front counter, sales, service and even dispatch - do you offer a complete system?

Yes! Our basic system comes with Quotes, Reservations, Rental Contracts, Invoicing, Point of Sale, Dispatch, Accounts Receivable, Credit Memos and Purchase Orders. Optionally, you can add Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Payroll. We also offer an interface to most accounting software programs such as QuickBooks, etc.

Do I need a fileserver for each of my stores or can I just use one?

You can use one server, as long as you have reliable, high-speed internet connections to your other store(s). We recommend network printers (you can then write a contract at one location and print it at either or both locations). A single fileserver is an advantage in that you can perform duties such as equipment transfers and invoicing at a central location in real time. We have had a single server running 300 stores and doing about $700,000,000 in annual revenue!

Do you offer the "extras" such as Electronic Cash Drawers, Receipt Printers, and Drivers License scanners?

Yes! We also offer Magnetic Stripe Readers for DL's and Credit Cards, Credit Card Processing options, Drivers License "snapshot" readers, and Signature Capture terminals that will attach the signature to the contract.

How long does it take to get installed and my employees trained before I can go "live"?

We assist you with Excel spreadsheets to get your data extracted from your old system and imported into AlphaRENTAL™. Our hardware and software typically takes anywhere from 4-7 weeks to get up and running. Training employees is usually 2-3 days and 5 days if the full bookkeeping is purchased. We also offer WebEx training through the Internet and toll-free 800-numbers. You go live when you feel comfortable and your employees are ready to go.

I have an industrial tool rental business. How can your software help me?

The AlphaRENTAL™ system is very easy to customize and allow control settings that can be just right for your rental / sales business. We realize that not everyone does it all the same. We can handle special rates, special equipment and even have barcodes and Radio Frequency chips to help inventory your products!

Genisys Support Staff has over 100 years of work experience in the AlphaRENTAL™ product including accounting, product development, and rental experience. We are easily reached by phone, email, fax, or texting to attend to all of your issues with the utmost of urgency. We have staff on call evenings, weekends, and holidays to make sure that you won't face any serious issues on your own.

Does your software support digital documents?

Yes! We have the ability to attach digital documents such as Credit Applications, Certificates of Insurance, and Special Legal Documents to a Customer. We can also attach photos, brochures, and special instructions to pieces of equipment - even movies on how to operate the equipment! This feature is available throughout the software.

I would like to email or fax contracts instead of printing / mailing them.

Just click on "email", "fax", or create a pdf of any rental / sales contract, quote, reservation, or invoice. You can also email or fax monthly statements to your Accounts Receivable customers.

I have employees that speak languages other than English. Can your software help me with that?

Yes! Our Language Translation Utility allows you to set up prompts so that AlphaRENTAL™ is displayed in your employee's own language. This is available by employee, so one workstation can display in Spanish while another is in English, and yet another one is in French.

One of my long-time employees is not computer literate. Is he going to get frustrated a lot using your software?

Our system is very easy to use. Many buttons have Tool Tips that can pop up when you place your mouse over them to help explain what the button does. You can define a screen message by customer or piece of equipment. We have suggestive selling aides, kits that attach "extras" to any rental item (ex. sandpaper suggestions to go with a floor sander, hoses that go with the pumps, or tent stakes that go with a tent). We have built-in training manuals with screen shots to show you how-to do various tasks.

How do I see the system in action?

Genisys Sales staff can easily provide a free WebEx demo where we can show you the system right on your own desktop PC or laptop that has a good Internet connection. We attend many national and regional trade shows and our website has brochures and PowerPoint presentations available for download. Of course, we will accommodate the requests for in-person visits too!
